The normal ValetFlow website is designed as a hosted subscription service, but some customers may prefer to buy a self-hosted package and run it on their own server, cPanel account or managed hosting environment.



What the self-hosted package is for


The self-hosted option is intended for businesses that want more control over where ValetFlow is installed, how it is backed up and how it is customised. It is suitable for valeting companies, dealerships or vehicle preparation teams that already have their own hosting or IT support.

Recommended server requirements


Before buying a self-hosted copy, your hosting should support a modern PHP and MySQL/MariaDB environment. A typical cPanel, Plesk, VPS or managed PHP hosting account should be suitable if it includes the requirements below.

  • PHP 8.1 or newer, with PHP 8.2+ preferred
  • MySQL 5.7+ or MariaDB 10.4+
  • Apache with mod_rewrite enabled for clean URLs, or an equivalent Nginx configuration
  • HTTPS / SSL certificate for secure logins and uploads
  • PDO MySQL, mbstring, JSON, OpenSSL, cURL and fileinfo PHP extensions
  • GD or ImageMagick recommended for image handling and logo/favicon uploads
  • Zip extension recommended for backups, exports and update packages
  • SMTP email account recommended for login, notification and customer emails
  • Writable upload/storage folders for logos, photos, documents and generated files
  • Regular server backups managed by you or your hosting provider


Optional services and integrations


Some features may need extra accounts or services depending on how you want to use ValetFlow. Stripe is needed for live card payments. SMS or WhatsApp alerts would require a provider such as Twilio or Meta WhatsApp Business API. Auto Trader importing would require approved Auto Trader access before it can be offered as a live service.

Custom packages available


ValetFlow can be customised to suit the customer. This can include branding, colours, wording, feature controls, staff roles, dashboard layout, reporting changes, dealership-specific workflows, service lists, setup help and extra pages. If a customer needs a smaller, simpler package or a more advanced version for multiple sites, a custom quote can be provided.

Important notes


A self-hosted installation means the customer or their hosting provider is responsible for the web server, hosting renewal, backups, SSL certificate, email delivery and general server security unless a separate support arrangement is agreed. Updates and custom development can be supplied separately where required.
